Coda Lines runs direct overnight buses from Cubao, Quezon City to Sagada, Bontoc and Banaue. Reserve your seat online, then bring the e-ticket on your phone to the Cubao terminal on travel night.
Choose Manila or Quezon City as your origin, pick Sagada, Banaue or Bontoc, and set your travel date. You then continue to PHBus to compare the evening departures, choose Semi Deluxe or Super Deluxe, and pay.
Coda only releases a share of its trips online. If your date looks sold out, extra seats may still be sold at the terminal booth — especially on peak-season trips.
Once you have your confirmation ↓
Keep the confirmation saved on your phone. On travel night, go to the HM Transport Terminal on Monte De Piedad Street, find the Coda counter, and present the e-ticket before boarding. Aim to be there at least 30 minutes early, and closer to an hour on weekends and holidays.
Getting on at Solano, Lagawe or Banaue instead? Check the boarding station on your booking.
Travelling on a student, senior citizen or PWD fare? Skip the online step. Coda sells discounted tickets only at its terminal booths, where staff verify your ID. Buy those at the counter in Cubao (or at the station you board from).
Coda's stations in road order. Not every trip runs the full line — Banaue- and Bontoc-bound buses end earlier, and Kiangan sits on a short branch off the main road near Lagawe.
Map shows the Cubao departure point on Monte De Piedad Street, near EDSA. Open it in Google Maps for directions from the MRT or LRT Cubao stations.
Addresses are exactly as Coda Lines publishes them on codalines.ph. “Exact map pin” opens the precise terminal location for Cubao, Lagawe, Banaue, Bontoc and Sagada; for Aritao, Solano and Kiangan the map searches the landmark Coda gives. Tap a number to call the station.

Online bookings may add a service fee on top of the counter fare. Discounted student, senior and PWD fares are only available at the terminal booth. In 2026 listings, Banaue trips start around ₱900 and Bontoc around ₱1,150 — check the live search for the current amount.
Peak season. Coda adds trips during peak periods such as Holy Week, the Christmas break and long weekends, when Sagada fills up. Those extra departures are not always released online, so if the search shows nothing for your date, call the Quezon City station before assuming the bus is full.
Each of these comes straight from how Coda describes its own service — and each is regularly misreported elsewhere.
Coda has no terminal of its own in Manila city. Its Metro Manila station is the HM Transport Terminal on Monte De Piedad Street in Cubao, Quezon City. Listings that send you to PITX, Sampaloc or a Five Star terminal contradict Coda's own station page.
Coda climbs through Nueva Vizcaya and Ifugao, passing Banaue and Bontoc on the way to Sagada. If you want to see Baguio or ride Halsema Highway, that is a different trip on different buses.
Coda requires discounted tickets to be bought at its terminal ticket booths so staff can check your ID. Book online and you pay the regular fare — there is no discount option in the online checkout.
On the booking site the choice appears as “45 seater without CR” or “35 seater with CR”. Elsewhere you will see Semi Deluxe, Deluxe, Express or Tourist for the first, and Super Deluxe or VIP for the second. CR means comfort room — the 35-seater is the one with a toilet.
There are two common ways to get to Sagada by bus. Coda is the only direct option; the alternative splits the trip in Baguio.
| Coda Lines direct | Bus via Baguio | |
|---|---|---|
| Changes | None | One, in Baguio |
| Road | Nueva Vizcaya, Ifugao, Banaue, Bontoc | Halsema Highway from Baguio |
| Timing | Overnight from Cubao, arrive in the morning | Overnight to Baguio, then a daytime bus to Sagada |
| Book online | Selected trips, via the search at the top | Two separate tickets with different companies |
| Best for | Sleeping through, or stopping at Banaue | Adding a day or two in Baguio |
Baguio–Sagada buses are run by other companies, with departures concentrated in the morning, so an overnight bus into Baguio is the usual pairing.
These are the routes Coda itself promotes for online booking, plus the return legs. Each opens a live search for that pair.
* Approximate lowest one-way fares (Semi Deluxe) seen in 2026 booking listings, before any online service fee. Coda publishes fares only as images, so the live search is the price to go by.
Coda posts inbound-tourist guidance for Sagada, Bontoc, Banaue and Tinglayan on its Bus Trips page. The rules themselves are set by each municipality's tourism office and change from time to time, so confirm with the local tourism office before you travel.
Coda Lines (Coda Lines Corp.) is the bus company running direct overnight trips from Metro Manila to Sagada, Bontoc and Banaue in the Cordillera. It departs from the HM Transport Terminal in Cubao, Quezon City, and the route climbs through Nueva Vizcaya and Ifugao rather than Baguio.
Coda's slogan is “Your Home On The Road”, and its purple coaches are the only direct bus link between Metro Manila and Sagada town. The company won NLEXcellence awards for vehicle quality in 2018 and driver professionalism in 2019.

Straight answers to the questions people ask before their first Coda trip north.
Coda Lines lists its Metro Manila station as the HM Transport Terminal on Monte de Piedad Street corner Maryland Street, Barangay Immaculate Concepcion, Cubao, Quezon City. Coda shares this terminal with HM Transport rather than running a terminal of its own in Manila.
Coda's own station list names only the HM Transport Terminal in Cubao, Quezon City for Metro Manila. Some listing sites name PITX, Sampaloc or the Five Star terminal instead. Go by the official station list and the boarding point on your ticket.
Plan on roughly 11 to 13 hours from Cubao to Sagada on an overnight trip, depending on traffic and road conditions. Trips that end in Banaue or Bontoc are shorter.
Coda does not publish fares as text on its website. Booking listings in 2026 put a one-way Manila to Sagada seat at roughly PHP 1,225 to 1,300 in Semi Deluxe and roughly PHP 1,360 to 1,500 in Super Deluxe. Online bookings can add a service fee, so check the live price for your date.
Coda runs evening departures from Cubao, roughly between 7:30 PM and 11:30 PM, plus a morning trip around 8:00 AM on the 35-seater bus. Trips back from Sagada leave between about 7:30 AM and 3:45 PM. The live Coda Lines timetable on PHBus shows the exact times for your date, including extra peak-season trips.

The 35-seater bus, also sold as Super Deluxe or VIP, has an onboard toilet (CR). The 45-seater, sold as Semi Deluxe, Deluxe or Express, has none. Both make stopovers along the way for meals and restroom breaks.
Book the stop you actually need. Coda runs trips to Banaue and lists a Banaue station below the Tourist Information Center, so a Manila to Banaue ticket matches your seat and fare to your real destination.
Yes. Coda lists stations in Aritao at the Aritao Growth Center and in Solano across from Savemore on the highway.
Coda says additional trips may run during peak season. These are not always released online, so during holidays it is worth checking at the Cubao terminal or calling the station.
Coda lists 0977 484 4414 and 0927 559 2197 for its Quezon City station and 0995 096 5970 for Sagada and its northern stations. The full contact page is on codalines.ph.
Bring a jacket, because the air conditioning runs cold overnight and Cordillera mornings are chilly. Carry snacks and water, keep your ticket and ID within reach, and pack a small bag for the seat so you are not digging into the luggage hold at stopovers.
No. This is an independent traveller guide and is not run by Coda Lines Corp. The operator's official website is codalines.ph.
Stations, addresses, phone numbers, the discount rule and the route list come from the official Coda Lines website. Coda posts its own timetable and fares only as images, so departure times on this page follow the live Coda Lines timetable on PHBus, powered by 12Go, which lists every scheduled trip with its bus class and current price.
That timetable is the one to trust for a specific night: extra peak-season trips appear there as Coda adds them, and prices update when fares change. The fare ranges quoted on this page are approximate summaries of 2026 listings.
